Week 14

Exhausted during his train ride at Stone Mountain

We spent the weekend with our Godson Owen, Baby Fusco's cousin.  He's 1.5 and too cute!  Playing outside, visiting Stone Mountain Park, taking rides in his wagon, practicing his sign language. We tried to work on saying cousin but may need a little more time :)  Owen gave us a chance to practice reading bedtime stories, bath time fun and practicing our team work with feeding and traveling with him.  We had a lot of fun and can't wait for Owen to meet his new cousin!

How far along? 14 Weeks, 2 Days

Maternity clothes? Still in my pre-pregnancy pants...continuing with the baggier shirts

Stretch marks? No

Sleep? the only way to get rid of my headaches lately, still sleeping okay

Have you told family and friends? YES!

Miss Anything? wine

Movement? Not yet but can't wait until I do

Food cravings? mine have eased off but daddy sure is craving calzones

Anything making you queasy or sick? red meat

Have you started to show yet? belly is definitely looking chubby

Week 13...2nd Trimester!

We've made it to the 2nd Trimester!  Baby Fusco is now the size of a Georgia Peach which is amazing to us!  We couldn't help but take a picture of the huge Gaffney peach as we passed it on 85 on our way to Charlotte this weekend.  Luckily Baby Fusco is not the size of this peach!  This week we've learned Baby Fusco now has facial muscles which means smiling is now possible :)  

How far along? 13 Weeks, 2 Days

Maternity clothes? Continuing with the baggier shirts...still fit into dresses for the wedding this weekend

Stretch marks? No

Sleep? Crazy dreams continue...sleep walking to the bathroom more during the night

Have you told family and friends? we're spreading the news...

Miss Anything? having a DD versus being the DD

Movement? Not yet but can't wait until I do

Food cravings? fruit smoothies

Anything making you queasy or sick? still not a huge fan of red meat

Have you started to show yet? the little bump by the end of the day is still appearing

12 Weeks

It's the last week of the 1st trimester and we really hope that means less nausea and more energy like the books read!  We had our 12 week appointment this past Thursday and everything is looking good.  Mommy has gained 3.5 pounds and baby's heartbeat is 161bpm.


UGAs spring game, otherwise known as G-Day, was this weekend so Baby Fusco technically went to his first Georgia game too:) To commemorate, Baby Fusco has his/her first UGA toy...a sock monkey!

How far along? 12 Weeks, 2 Days
Maternity clothes? Continuing with the baggier shirts...still no use of the bella band
Stretch marks? No
Sleep? It seems the dreams are getting crazier as I go...still sleeping good, just a little backache here and there in the middle of the night
Have you told family and friends? More people are starting to guess...looking forward to spreading the news next week
Miss Anything? Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Red Zin
Movement? Not yet...however baby Fusco's joints are all apparently in place and he/she is moving around
Food cravings? oranges, mangos, calzones
Anything making you queasy or sick? getting a lot better with food now so headaches decided to take the place of being queasy...yeah!

11 Weeks...letting Grandparents in on the news!

Happy Easter!  

We can't wait until the following Easter when little baby Fusco will be here with us to celebrate Jesus!


We were able to visit our family in Cartersville over the weekend and share the news about our growing family with our grandparents, along with our step-sisters and family.  Baby Fusco received his first Easter present from his/her Miller grandparents...a piggy bank to start saving for college! We were also able to spend time with the Thacker grandparents where mama and baby Fusco received a pregnancy journal with a day-to-day guide on how baby is growing and a birth to age 5 resource guide so that we can keep our baby healthy. 


It was wonderful to see everyone and to share in the excitement of what's to come.  The bump started to show a little by the end of Friday and now after all the delicious food from Easter dinners...the [food] bump is going strong!

This week Baby Fusco is the size of a lime...that's 0.25 ounces and about the height of the small side of a credit card!

How far along? 11 Weeks, 1 Day
Maternity clothes? Not yet but definitely switched to baggier shirts for work this week...no use of the bella band yet
Stretch marks? No
Sleep? Still sleeping good with crazy dreams
Have you told family and friends? We added to the list this week sharing with family in Cartersville
Miss Anything? Starbucks coffees and frappuccinos
Movement? Not yet
Food cravings? Blueberry bagels with cream cheese, salt & vinegar chips
Anything making you queasy or sick? red meat is still getting me...doing better this week with other foods though
Have you started to show yet? there's a little bump by the end of the day...or as Jenny McCarthy states it...my fat layer is forming for the baby's protection

10 Weeks

Thought we would start posting the weekly belly bump for our family & friends who live out of town or out of state...or just for our family & friends who want to keep up with the weekly growth!


I receive a weekly email from the bump.com that sizes our baby up to the closest food.  We started out as a sesame seed, then a snow pea, a blueberry, a raspberry, and a green olive.  This week...a prune.  Don't think I'll be going out to buy any of these to 'eat in the spirit' but it is amazing how quickly the little guy grows!

How far along? 10 Weeks, 1 Day
Maternity clothes? Nope..but we did just make our first stop at a Motherhood store for the future need of a bella band
Stretch marks? No
Sleep? Sleeping great at night...crazy dreams though; occasionally come home exhausted from work where you'll find me face-planted on our couch for about 30 minutes
Have you told family and friends? Parents & siblings along with a few friends who guessed right away when hanging out with them or are trying to make fall plans with us and...well, we couldn't hide it
Miss Anything? Sushi, coffee and not getting nauseous with whatever food smell or thought that may cross my path at any given time
Movement? Not yet
Food cravings? Sharp cheddar cheese with triscuits, apples and peanut butter, macaroni & cheese, ice cream...any flavor
Anything making you queasy or sick? depends on the day...red meat, chicken...luckily I have found La Croix calms my stomach...and unfortunately so does cheese & crackers
Have you started to show yet? not really, just a little bump by the end of the day but its probably just a food belly :)

Surprise...we're pregnant!

The future mommy & daddy to little baby Fusco are back from the doctor and we have a healthy baby growing!  The doctor gave little baby Fusco a due date of October 26th...of course we think, ahh...Georgia/Florida weekend being the Bulldawg fans we are.  

Baby's heartbeat looks good at 170bpm and measurements are right on target.  Looking forward to meeting our new bundle of joy this fall!
