18 Weeks

So excited to have spent the weekend with Andrew & Liza! Our brother and sister-in-law live in Stillwater, Oklahoma and so seeing each other does not come often...but when it does we have a blast.  It was their first time seeing mama Meg and the growing bump and we of course spent some time talking about their future niece or nephew (Andrew thinks nephew, Liza thinks niece).  Baby Fusco received THE softest swaddling blanket ever from his aunt and uncle as well as a pair of football socks for their nephew or pink socks with bows for their niece.

Uncle Andrew

We had some fun with our waitress at One Midtown Kitchen (which is a fabulous place to eat by the way). She was asking about Baby Fusco and what gender we thought he or she would be.  So with our delicious Marscapone dessert she placed a pink and blue candle beside it and said whichever color went out first, that would be the gender.  Well, we blew the candles with eyes closed and look what happened...
does this mean it will be a boy?!?
One more family pic to share and then on to week 18...

How far along? 18 Weeks, 2 Days
Maternity clothes? bring it on...spent way too long trying on pre-pregnancy shirts and pants this week...everything that doesn't fit is now boxed up and my closet shrank by about 80% :(
Stretch marks? Nope...belly butter is being used now...and smells so good!
Sleep? I am out cold at night and during my after work naps
Miss Anything? drinking wine with family and friends
Movement? pretty sure I may have felt something Friday night...twice!...it kinda felt like bubbles hitting the inside of my belly as if bubbles under water were hitting you
Food cravings? back to good ole' cheese and crackers...sharp cheddar of course :)
Anything making you queasy or sick? doing a lot better here
Have you started to show yet? oh yeah
Gender prediction? I don't know if I can believe the candle or not...still torn
Belly Button in or out? In...but getting awfully flat and sore
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to? confirming that those bubbles were really the baby moving...do it again baby!

17 Weeks

What a great weekend! We had a surprise baby shower given by Megan's grad school friends in Athens.  It was so sweet...we were invited to a cookout with all the friends' spouses and children.  After being their for a while, I went up to sift through Christy's maternity clothes and when we came back down the stairs...surprise!
Grad school friends with their precious little ones...Julie with Camden, Mama Meg, Christy with little Drew in front, Julia with Grace, and Jennifer with Harper & Erin and her 3rd is on the way...due 3 days after me

Surprised!
Such sweet gifts we received...

Lullaby Playard...it vibrates for baby and plays music!

Cute outfit with what we were told was the best receiving blanket out there

No nasal bulb for baby Fusco...we've got the battery operated one

Links for stroller, bouncer, or whatever so baby Fusco can reach its toys

Go DAWGS!!  Baby Fusco will be ready for gameday!

16 Weeks...Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day and Mothers-to-be Day

Celebrating my 1st Mother's Day, I woke up to a new body pillow to snuggle with at night (my back is now beginning to hurt when lying on my side) and a delicious breakfast from my wonderful hubby!  Then, I walked outside so this...
a BOB stroller!
I'm super excited!  It had the sweetest note saying the Baby Fusco can't wait for me to take him/her on a run :)

Big brother Harper dressed up for Mother's Day
We spent yesterday at Suwanee Town Center at their "Woofstock".  Harper was super excited and a little out of control...I don't believe he had ever been around so many other dogs.

We met lots of other Bulldogs

Tom, Harper & Mom

I was also able to spend the day with my mom for a girl's day for Mother's Day.  We were able to talk about nursery ideas, baby names, and what the baby will call her!
